MINUTES
FOUNDERS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10,19989:00 A.M.

The meeting of the Founders Subcommittee was called to order at 9 a.m.
Members present:
Vice Mayor Ken Cohen
Commissioner Harry Holzberg
Commissioner Arthur Berger (arrived at 9:55 a.m.)
Manny Grossman
Marian Nesbitt
Phil Sturtz
Ginger Grossman
Members absent:
Dan Eichmann
Don Gustin
Marian Smith
Others present:
Commissioner Harry Holzberg
Community Services Director Robert M. Sherman
Committee members discussed the proposed plaque. A motion was offered by
Mr. Grossman and seconded by Ms. Nesbitt to approve the plaque with wording justified
on both sides, as presented by Mr. Sherman. The motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Sherman presented to the Committee the flyer announcing the Founders Day
events and dinner, the invitation, and advised that press releases would be provided to
the local newspapers and ads placed therein.
Committee members discussed the schedule of events for Founders Day. A
motion was offered by Mr. Grossman, seconded by Ms. Nesbitt, and unanimously
passed to exclude the softball game from the schedule of events. Consensus of
Committee members that dedication begin at 11 a.m.
Members suggested that Mr. Sherman contact the General Manager of
Turnberry to request that parking fees be waived for the dinner.
There being no further discussion, the meeting adjourned at 10 a.m.
