Founders Day
Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 12 Noon
Founders Park, 3105 NE 190 Street
Our 12th annual celebration of the founding of our City of Excellence will be a
day of fun for the entire community. It will be a spectacle of games, activi-
ties, family entertainment, food, and outstanding talent!
This exciting new interactive water feature keeps chil-
dren laughing, splashing and cool. The SplashPad
is free for Aventura residents and $10 for non-residents.
Beginning Labor Day, the SplashPad will be open on
weekends from lOAM to dusk.
The City of Aventura has not raised membership or class fees since the opening
of the Community Recreation Center in February 2003. In order to ensure that
fees pay for the cost of operating the Community Recreation Center,
membership and activity fees will increase approximately 6% effective October
151. Previously, the City has absorbed increased operating costs, Due to the
property tax reform legislation, all user fees were reviewed to insure that
revenues offset the cost of programs reducing the subsidy from the General
Fund. Please see Page 10 for the new annual membership fees. We appreciate
your continued support of the Aventura Community Recreation Center,
