Call to Order. The meeting was called to order by Community Services Director Robert M. Sherman. Members present: Dr. Eric Albin Carole Epstein Patricia Frank Manuel Grife Billy Joel Alberto Milian Marian Nesbitt (arrived at 9:15 a.m.) Larry Orenstein Michael Stern (arrived at 10:45 a.m.) Members absent: Ginger Grossman Julie Israel Shirlee Levin Gary Pyott Members toured properties applying for beautification awards. After the tour, the meeting recessed and reconvened at 12:55 p.m. After discussion, the following motions were offered and approved: Motion made by Billy Joel, seconded by Patricia Frank for Mediterranean Village to receive the 5 Stories and Under Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0. Motion made by Albert Milian, seconded by Billy Joel for Porto Vita and the Williams Island Property Owners Associations to receive the Master Association Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0. Motion made by Carole Epstein, seconded by Marian Nesbitt for Aventura Mall to receive the Mall/Retail Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0. Motion made by Carole Epstein, seconded by Alberto Milian for Aventura Lakes to receive the Single Family Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0. Motion made by Billy Joel, seconded by Carole Epstein for Country Club Estates to receive the Single Family Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 6-3. Motion made by Billy Joel, seconded by Patricia -Frank for the Courtyards at the Point to receive the Townhomes Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0. Motion make by Larry Orenstein, seconded by Alberto Milian for 4000 Island Boulevard to receive the Most Improved Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0. Motion made by Patricia Frank and seconded by Marian Nesbitt for 2600 Williams Island Boulevard to receive the 5 stories and over Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0. Motion made by Billy Joel and seconded by Patricia Frank for the Landmark to receive the 5 stories and over Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0. Motion made by Patricia Frank and seconded by Marian Nesbitt for Biscaya III to receive the Most Improved Category Property of Excellence Award. Motion carried 9-0.
