97-047 RESOLUTION NO. 97-47 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AVENTURA, FLORIDA; GRANTING A SIGN VARIANCE FOR TEMPORARY SIGNS TO ANNOUNCE FUTURE TENANTS AT THE AVENTURA MALL LOCATED AT 19501 BISCAYNE BOULEVARD; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the property described herein is now governed by the City Council of the City of Aventura; and WHEREAS, the property described herein is zoned BU-2, Special Business District; and WHEREAS, the Applicant, Aventura Mall Venture has requested a Sign Variance due to the substantial and unique nature of its expansion to permit temporary signs to announce future tenants at the Aventura Mall on that certain property located at 19501 Biscayne Boulevard, and legally described as Tract Q, Aventura 6th Addition as recorded in Plat Book 120, Page 20 of the Public Records of Dade County; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Department recommends approval of these requests subject to conditions; and WHEREAS, following proper notice, the City Council has held a public hearing, as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Application meets the criteria of the applicable codes and ordinances, to the extent the Application is granted herein; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the request is reasonable and consistent with all previous approvals Resolution No. 97-47 Page 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AVENTURA, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. Application No. 02-SV-97 for a Sign Variance on property legally described as: Tract Q, Aventura 6th Addition as recorded in Plat Book 120, Page 20 of the Public Records of Dade County aka Aventura Mall 19501 Biscayne Boulevard is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: STANDARD CONDITIONS 1. All temporary signage shall be removed upon the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy or six months from date hereof, whichever shall occur first, for the tenants advertised on the signs. 2. Any and all off-premise signs adjacent to Biscayne Boulevard shall be removed within 30 days. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to cause the issuance of permits in accordance with the approvals and conditions herein provided and to indicate such approvals and conditions upon the records of the City. Section 3.. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. Resolution No. 97-47 Page 3 The foregoing Resolution was offered by Councilmember Cohen , who moved its adoption.
