RESOLUTION NO. 2000-48 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF AVENTURA, FLORIDA ABANDONING AN UNIMPROVED, 138-FOOT SEGMENT OF NE 208 TERRACE, LOCATED BETWEEN BLOCKS 10 AND 11 OF THE HALLANDALE PARK NO. 9 SUBDIVISION AND AN UNIMPROVED 20S-FOOT SEGMENT OF 10' WIDE ALLEY, LOCATED IN BLOCK 10 OF THE HALLANDALE PARK NO. 9 SUBDIVISION; PROVIDING FOR RECORDATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Applicant, Aventura Corporate Center, through Application No. 03-AR-00, has requested abandonment of an unimproved, 138-foot segment of NE 208 Terrace, located between Blocks 10 and 11 of the Hallandale Park No. 9 subdivision and an unimproved 205-foot segment of 10' wide alley, located in Block 10 of the Hallandale Park No. 9 subdivision, in Aventura, Florida; and WHEREAS, following proper notice, the City Commission has held a public hearing as provided by law; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF AVENTURA, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. Application No. 03-AR-00 for abandonment of unimproved NE 208 Terrace extending from NE 30 Avenue to the west, approximately 138 feet, located between Blocks 10 and 11 of the Hallandale Park No. 9 subdivision and an unimproved 205-foot segment of 10' wide alley extending from the previously described right-of-way of NE 208 Terrace north approximately 205 Resolution No. 2000-48 Page 2 feet to NE 209 Street, located in Block 10 of the Hallandale Park No. 9 subdivision, as legally described as follows: All that portion of NE 208 Terrace (formerly known as North Golden Drive) lying between Blocks 10 and 11 of HALLANDALE PARK NO. 9, according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 23 at Page 26 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida, which lies West of the southerly projection of the East line of said Block 10 and East of the Southerly projection of the West line of Lot 37, Block 10 of said plat of Hallandale Park No. 9. and That certain 10 foot wide Alley in Block 10, HALLANDALE PARK NO. 9, according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 23, at Page 26, of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida, which lies West of the Southerly projection of the east line of said Block 10 and east of the Southerly projection of the West line of Lot 39, Block 10 of said plat of Hallandale Park No. 9. (A full legal description and site map is attached as Exhibit #1 ). is hereby granted. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to indicate such approvals and conditions upon the records of the City. Section 3. This Resolution shall be recorded in the Public Records of Miami- Dade County, Florida, with the petitioner to pay the costs thereof. Section4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Resolution was offered by Commissioner Rogers-Libert, who moved its adoption.
