DATE: March 31, 2000
SUBJECT: Surplus Property
K-9 "Jax" has developed a medical condition and he is no longer suitable for police
work. I would like to have him declared surplus property. Officer O. Garcia was "Jax"
handier and trainer and he has indicated a desire to keep the dog and provide him with
a good home. I recommend that ownership of the dog be transferred to Officer Garcia.
