FOUNDERS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING
THURSDAY, APRIL 9, '1998 9:00 A.M.

The meeting of the Founders Subcommittee was called to order at 9 a.m.
Members present: Commissioner Arthur Berger
Commissioner Ken Cohen
Dan Eichmann
Ginger Gressman
Manny Grossman
Marian Nesbitt
Members absent: Marian Smith
Don Gustin
Phil Sturtz
Others present: City Clerk Teresa M. Smith
Community Services Director Robert M. Sherman
The list of Founders as approved by the Commission was distributed to
members.
It was the consensus of the Committee to erect a pedestal-style monument, 3-4
feet high, with a plaque mounted on the top at a 45 degree angle and if feasible, the
City seal mounted to the front. Monument to be placed near main building in area as
suggested by Mr. Sherman.
Commissioner Berger distributed proposed wording. Consensus that each
Committee member compose suggested wording and provide to the City Clerk, who will
distribute all suggestions to each member for review and selection.
Consensus of Committee to have a black-tie dinner in honor of Founders. Mr.
Sherman to obtain for Committee's review at next meeting quotes from Turnberry and
Williams Island. Consensus also to obtain sponsors to contribute to dinner. Suggested
date - November 7, 1998.
The next meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 1998.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
