Call to Order. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Janet Laine.
City Clerk Teresa M. Soroka called the roll.

Approval of Minutes: After motion made by Ms. Crook, seconded by Ms.
Simmons and unanimously passed, the minutes of the October 25, 1999 and
November 22, 1999 meetings were approved.
Chairman's Report: Ms. Laine once again reiterated the duties and
responsibilities of the Board and stressed the importance of attendance at each
meeting. Other items discussed include: City's annual report, Founders Day,
Veterans Day and art in the new Government Center.
IV. Staff Report:

Founders Day Activities Evaluation: Mr. Sherman reported that
Founders Day was a success and announced the dates for this year's
celebrations: November 5, 2000 - Founders Ball; November 12, 2000 -
Founders Day.
Pro¢lram Update: Mr. Sherman updated the Board on the trips and tours
programs planned through July 2000. He discussed a proposed program
- Spring Fling 2000 which would be a family-oriented day at Founders
Park to include arts, crafts and athletic activities. A motion to approve
Spring Fling 2000 was offered by Mr. Gustin, seconded by Ms. Simmons
and unanimously passed.
Mr. Sherman displayed a drawing of the gazebo for Founders Park which
was approved by the Commission at their recent Workshop Meeting.
The next meeting date was announced by Mr. Sherman as February 28,
2000 at 10 a.m.
