Call to Order. The meeting was called to order at 4:06 p.m. Members present: Eric Berger George Berlin Miles Kuttler Fred Silverman Members absent: Marjorie Rosenblatt Bertram Shapiro Bob Werner II. Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes of the July 26, 2005 meeting was offered by Mr. Kuttler, seconded by Mr. Berger and unanimously passed. III. Chairperson's Report: Mr. Berlin advised the Board that he invited the Director of the Miami-Dade County MPO to address members at the next meeting. IV. Frank Prat - Miami Dade County Traffic Enaineerina: Mr. Prat provided an overview of traffic engineering and traffic light timing. The following locations were specifically discussed: NE 18ih Street at Biscayne Boulevard; Biscayne Boulevard at Miami Gardens Drive; and Aventura Boulevard at Biscayne Boulevard. V. Staff Reports: Shuttle Bus Service Overview - Powerpoint presentation by Community Services Director Robert Sherman. Traffic Count Information - Mr. Soroka distributed this information for various intersections in the City. Planning Director Joanne Carr provided an overview of the site plan process as it applies to traffic studies. The Board requested the Planning Department provide an overview of the traffic related issues outlined in the EAR and Comprehensive Plan update. VII. Other Business: The next meeting was scheduled for September 20,2005 at 3 p.m. -..-.- ~ . VIII.
