TRAFFIC ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
July 26, 2005 - 2 p.m.

I. Call to Order. The meeting was called to order by City Manager Eric M. Soroka.
City Clerk Teresa M. Soroka called the roll.
Members present: Eric Berger
George Berlin
Miles Kuttler
Marjorie Rosenblatt
Fred Silverman
Bob Werner
Member absent: Bertram Shapiro
Mr. Soroka requested that members introduce themselves. He then discussed the
jurisdiction of the Board, Government in the Sunshine, and Financial Disclosure.
Copies of the Board's enabling ordinance and Form I Statements of Financial
Disclosure were distributed to members.
II. Selection of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson: After motion offered by Mr.
Werner, seconded by Mr. Silverman and unanimously passed, George Berlin was
elected Chairperson. After motion offered by Mr. Berlin, seconded by Mr. Berger and
unanimously passed, Mr. Silverman was elected Vice Chairperson.
III. Orientation: Mr. Soroka provided a powerpoint presentation outlining traffic
jurisdiction, concerns and other-traffic related issues within the City. He then introduced
Police Chief Thomas E. Ribel, Deputy Chief Steve Steinberg, Sg1. Michael Bentolila and
Corporal Brian Travis who provided a powerpoint presentation regarding the police
department's participation and programs relating to traffic in the City. Board members
discussed their concerns, including, but not limited to, bus stops, school traffic, traffic at
Biscayne Blvd. and 186th Street, city shuttle bus, traffic counts, complaints from the
public, previously issued consultant reports, and the manner in which to proceed to
address traffic issues in the City.
IV. Schedule of Future Meetinas: The next meeting was scheduled for August 16,
2005 at 4 p.m.
V. Other Business: None.

VII. Adiournment: There being no further business to come before the Board, after
motion made, seconded and unanimously passed, the meeting was adjourned at 3:20
p.m.
