CITY OF AVENTURA OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER MEMORANDUM DATE: TO: FROM: SUBJECT: 21301 Biscayne Boulevard Property As you are aware, the subject property owned by the City was declared surplus two years ago. Last year the City Commission decided not to place the property out for bid due to the pending Gulfstream DRI Project and the potential to utilize the property for access to Dixie Highway. Despite our efforts, the City of Hallandale chose not to pursue the potential roadway. Therefore, I feel it is time to place the .45 acre site out for bid with the condition that the right-of-way (.22 acres) be preserved and dedicated to the City. This will preserve the opportunity in the future to allow a connection to Biscayne Boulevard from the property located to the west of the City site. EMS/act Attachment CC01539-06 .
