CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to public notice, the meeting commenced at 4:36p m with a Call to Order by Vice -Chair Jorge
Garcia. Roll Call was taken, and quorum was established.
1. ADMINISTRATIVE
Approval of Don Soffer Aventura High School Advisory Board Meeting Minutes for March 13,
2025
MOTION: Motion was made by Diane Gleit and seconded by Nadine Laham to approve the Don Soffer
Aventura High School Advisory Board December 5, 2024, Meeting Minutes, as presented. Motion was
approved unanimously. (4-0, 1 open position).
Advisory Board Membership -Community Member City Appointment
• The City of Aventura board resolution appointed Michael Jacobs to the Don Soffer Advisory
Board.
MOTION: Motion was made by Jorge Garcia and seconded by Nadine I aham to accept Michael Jacobs
onto the Don Soffer Advisory Board. Motion was approved unanimously. (4-0, 1 open position.

• Principal McKee updated the board of the various academic achievements for Don Soffer
Aventura High School which included early admissions to various prestigious universities.

• The board rescheduled the May meeting to May 29" at 4 30pm

Motion was made by Diane Gleit and seconded by Jorge Garcia, to adjourn the May 29, 2025 Don Soffer
Aventura High School Advisory Board Meeting at 5:59pm.
