1. Call to Order/Roll Call: The meeting was called to order at 10:02 a.m. by Ms.
Elias. The following members were present:

2. Selection of Chair and Vice -Chair: Following nominations, motions, and majority
vote, Ellen Elias was selected to continue serving as Chairperson and Rita Regev was
selected to continue serving as Vice -Chairperson.
3. Approval of Minutes — April 11, 2022: A motion to approve the minutes of the
April 11, 2022 meeting was offered by Ms. Schenkel, seconded by Ms. Weinberg, and
unanimously passed.
4. State of the Center Report by Jeff Kiltie: Mr. Kiltie distributed and reviewed a
PowerPoint titled Aventura Arts & Cultural Center Advisory Board Presentation October
18, 2022, highlighting the following items: Mission Statement, Meet the Team, 2022-2023
Arrived at 10:04 a.m. during the State of the Center Report.

Season Announcement and Advance Sales, Projected Performances & Activity 2022-
2023, New Initiatives in 2022-2023, Trends for 2022-2023, 2022-2023 Season
Programming, Family & Educational Programming, Marketing Overview, Social Media
Overview, Making Headlines and Creating a Buzz, and 2023-2024 Season Programming
— Who do YOU want to see?
Ms. Fulfaro reviewed the marketing initiatives portion of the presentation including a new
billboard and working with the Aventura Mall to promote shows.
Mr. Wasson will provide the contact list for the property managers for the distribution of
information on the Cultural Center.
Mr. Kiltie concluded his presentation with the 2022-2023 Season Programming and video
of a recent curtain call showing the success of a performance.
Board Members provided comments and feedback throughout the presentation including
the following: reviewing the management agreement with the Broward Center regarding
sponsorship opportunities, promoting at the airport and kiosks at the Aventura Mall, etc.
5. Other Business:
Mr. Kiltie invited Board members to volunteer at the Arts & Cultural Center booth at
Founders Day on November 13, 2022.
The following additional items were discussed: trend of shows with an interactive
performance experience with the audience, distraction of having the performance
program on a QR code on cell phones, the difficulty with live QR codes and providing a
greeter at the Center to help attendees, talent contest in Aventura, providing refillable
water bottles at meetings, focusing on Latin -oriented and Russian dance performances
for next season, and the Center's next milestone in 2025.
The next meeting was scheduled for February 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., by consensus of
the Board.
6. Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned by consensus at 11:15 a.m.
