This meeting is open to the public. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, all

2022 Go GREEN Applicants
2800 Island Blvd
Installed a photocell motion sensors in all our 32-service elevator and trash room vestibules
Replaced all garage induction fixtures with the latest cost-effective LED fixtures
Installed 4 charging stations for electric cars.
All light fixtures were replaced with high efficiency LED fixtures controlled by light sensors.
All landscaping now includes a higher number of native plant materials.
Open lawn areas have been upgraded using artificial turf that requires no watering.
Irrigation system includes “Rain Sensor” shut off devices
Programmable clocks and low volume nozzles
All light-colored deck paving materials are composed of recycled aggregate products.

Artificial grass installed on the pool deck and the front entrance
Added motion sensor sink faucets in all common area restrooms

Replaced HVAC units for energy efficiency

Replaced pool heat pumps with energy saving ones
Retrofitted 153 streetlamps with new LED bulbs
Replaced AC units with higher rated (SEER) energy efficient units
Upgraded 7 lake fountains to use less electricity
Installed rain sensors on the irrigation system to conserve water when it rains

Replaced all rain sensorsto save energy
Replaced pool heat pumps with new energy saving units
Retrofitted 153 streetlamps with LED bulbs to save energy
Replaced all of our AC units with new higher rated (SEER) energy efficient units
Upgraded 9 lake fountains in our community with new control systems/motors that are more
productive and use less electricity
Provides a recycling program that our residents actively participate in, fostering the promotion
of our environmentally conscious efforts
Reduce the use of disposable cups, utensils, and paper
Minimizing the need for printing by using share documents or electronic format and convert
physical copies into digital format instead

Porto Vita Property Owner's Association
Human Resources and Spa Departments are two of our property-wide departments closing in
on their goals of paperless business document storage.
POA documents into the Cloud to reduce paper use.
Minimize plastic use with employee hot/cold water refill stations
Staff restrooms now have sanitizing hot air hand dryers to end paper towel use
Minimize plastic bottle use with Resident water bottle refill stations
Golf carts are a higher yield electric cart with increased range
Almost all lighting has been converted to low watt LED’s
Our HVAC system uses VFD’s to cool the club with much less energy
Our Poo Print animal waste deterrent program minimizes pet waste getting into the soil and
waterways
Minimizing plastic food service items and use bamboo stirrers and no straws unless requested.
Cleaning supplies feature more bio-degradable items like “Simple Green”
Participate in a cardboard recycling program to redirect recyclable materials from the landfill.

Recycling is picked up daily and sorted before placed in their assigned bins
Landscaping irrigation is minimum thanks to a weeping system that utilizes the least amount of
water
All cleaning products being used throughout the property are environmentally friendly
Removed all non-efficient lights and replacing them with LED lighting
Emergency fuel storage tank is above ground
Car charging stations are available for all residents and guests

Turnberry on the Green Condo Association
The Association planted 27 new palm trees in backyard of the property.
The Association collected book donation from all residents and created library in the study
room for other residents to use.
The Association changed the toilet thank mechanism, valve and flapper in 375 apartments in
order to use less water to flush.
Use smoke detectors in apartments that have 10 year lithium free batteries. Meets all Code &
Legislation for 10 years of sealed battery requirements. Alkaline batteries are safer and more
eco-friendly than lithium batteries.
