April 8, 2021 Community Services Adviosry Board Meeting Minutes • COMMUNITY SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES APRIL 8, 2021 3:00 P.M. Virtual Meeting Via Video Conferencing The meeting was held via video conferencing through Zoom, as specified on the meeting public notice, as a result of the continued COVID-19 state of emergency. I. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 3:15 p.m. by Ms. Kaplan, who served as the Acting Chair. The following members were present: Sandra Kaplan David Pulver Jaclyn Riley Marjorie Rosenblatt Sherry Superfine Absent: Daniel Naim Michael Stern Others present: Ellisa L. Horvath, MMC, City Clerk Kimberly Merchant, Community Services Director II. Public Comment: None. III. Approval of Minutes — March 4, 2021: A motion to approve the minutes of the March 4, 2021 meeting was offered by Ms. Rosenblatt, seconded by Dr. Pulver, and unanimously passed. IV. Staff Reports: a. Go Green Recognition Applications Approval: Mrs. Merchant provided information on the 12 applicants received for the Go Green Recognition Program. A motion to approve the 2021 Go Green applicants received was offered by Dr. Pulver, seconded by Ms. Kaplan, and unanimously passed. Mrs. Merchant reported that the Go Green awards would be mailed to the recipients. Individual Board members wishing to present the award to their buildings should contact her. City of Aventura- Community Services Advisory Board Meeting Minutes April 8, 2021 b. Events Report: Mrs. Merchant reported on the movie night held on March 201n with 38 pods registered, and displayed the Aventura blanket given to attendees. The next movie night will be scheduled for April 24th or May 1 sc Following discussion with the Police Department, Mrs. Merchant suggested that the high school graduation parade be scheduled for May 19, 2021 in the evening. It was the consensus of the Board to schedule the parade for that date, with the time to be determined by the Police Department. Mrs. Merchant will provide the Board members with their roles for the event, once that is determined. Mrs. Merchant briefly reviewed the plans to schedule summer camp. The next meeting was tentatively scheduled for September 9, 2021 at 3.00 p.m. VI I. Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Board, a motion to adjourn was offered by Ms. Rosenblatt, seconded by Dr. Pulver, and unanimously passed; thereby adjourning the meeting at 3.28 p.m. • Ellisa L.
