ETHICS TRAINING SESSION MINUTES
NOVEMBER 19, 2020

Virtual Meeting Via Video Conferencing
An ethics training session for members of the City of Aventura Commission, pursuant to
the requirements of Chapter 112.3142, Florida Statutes, was held on November 19, 2020
at 11 .19 a.m. via Zoom. The following members of the Commission were in attendance:
Mayor Enid Weisman, Vice Mayor Robert Shelley, Commissioner Jonathan Evans,
Commissioner Rachel S. Friedland, Commissioner Denise Landman, Commissioner Dr.
Linda Marks, and Commissioner Marc Narotsky. Also present were City Manager Ronald
J. Wasson, City Clerk Ellisa L. Horvath and City Attorney Robert Meyers.
Mr. Meyers reviewed a PowerPoint presentation titled "Ethics Training Required by State
and County Law for Incumbents and Newly-Elected Officials," dated November 19, 2020.
The following items on the agenda were covered: Citizens' Bill of Rights, Miami-Dade
County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust, Sunshine Law/Public Records, Public
Records Law, Miami-Dade Ethics Laws, and Wrap-Up.
Members of the Commission engaged in discussions with Mr. Meyers throughout the
session, based on the material covered.
The training session adjourned at 1 .19 p.m.
