I. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 3:03 p.m. by Mr. Evans. The
following members were present:

Sandra Kaplan

Others present: Mayor Enid Weisman
Ronald J. Wasson, City Manager
Ellisa L. Horvath, MMC, City Clerk
Kimberly Merchant, Community Services Director
II. Public Comment: The following members of the public provided comments:
Marjorie Rosenblatt (Mystic Pointe).
III. Approval of Minutes — February 28, 2019: A motion to approve the minutes of
the February 28, 2019 meeting was offered by Ms. Superfine, seconded by Ms. Kaplan,
and unanimously passed.
IV. Staff Reports:
a. Event Reports: Mrs. Merchant reported on the following City events: Movie
Nights (March 2nd — 1470 in attendance and April 13th — 1582 in attendance) and
Upcoming Movie Night (May 4th).
b. Earth & Arbor Day: Mrs. Merchant reviewed plans for the Earth & Arbor Day
Celebration scheduled for April 25th at 9:30 a.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center.
Members of the Board in attendance will present the 14 Go Green awards.
c. Dreaming Tree: Mrs. Merchant reported that the Dreaming Tree pilot program
was approved by the City Commission and would be introduced at the Earth & Arbor
Day Ceremony. It was explained that tags filled out by those in attendance would be
placed on the tree that was planted at Founders Park.

d. Mothers May Wellness Series: Mrs. Merchant reviewed the programs to be
included as part of the series starting April 30th, on every Tuesday, through May 28th
The next meeting was scheduled for September 12, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
V. Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Board, a
motion to adjourn was offered by Ms. Superfine, seconded by Mr. Naim, and
unanimously passed; thereby adjourning the meeting at 3:15 p.m.
