Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Jonathan Evans.

II. Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes of the September 6,
2012 meeting and the February 21, 2013 meeting was offered by Ms. Aloni,
seconded by Ms. Kaplan and unanimously passed.
III. Review of "Go Green" Applications: Community Services Department
Director Robert M. Sherman distributed a list of the 2013 Go Green Applicants
and summaries of their improvements/implementations. A motion was offered
by Ms. Aloni, seconded by Ms. Pojomovsky and unanimously passed not to
accept the application submitted by Point East Two Corporation for lack of
submission of narrative to the application after numerous requests, to advise
Point East Two Corporation of their non-compliance, and encourage compliance
in future submissions. A motion was offered by Ms. Aloni, seconded by Mr.
Berger and unanimously passed to accept all applications submitted with the
exception of Point East Two Corporation. Mr. Sherman reminded the Board that
the Symposium is scheduled for April 18, 2013. He then discussed the following:
movie night, CRCC open house anniversary celebration, Splashpad, shuttle bus
ridership, athletics, spring camp, Arbor Day, Senior Prom, July 4th, summer
programs and upcoming senior programs.
IV. New Business: Board members discussed the following: celebration of National
Senior Health & Fitness Day May 29, 2013 (staff will implement), organizing a
City Farmers Market, and a community event similar to an Arts Festival offering
activities for community participation. Mr. Soroka advised that due to budget
constraints, some suggestions may not be feasible.
The next meeting was scheduled for June 13, 2013 at 3 p.m.
V. Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Board, after
motion made, seconded and unanimously passed, the meeting was adjourned at
4:37 p.m. `

2600 Island Boulevard
Higher number of native plant materials used.
Landscaping fixtures replaced with LED lights controlled by light sensors.

Pool Deck Renovation Project included:

3000 Island Boulevard
Installed energy star lights bulbs in all common area hallways;300 fixtures in 20,000 sq.ft.
Replaced all lobby lighting with LED
Used low VOC paint in 20,000 sq.ft.of common area space in hallways.
4000 Island Boulevard
Replaced light fixtures with CFL fixtures in hallways:over 5,400 watts per day.
Installed rain sensors for irrigation systems
Installed wind sensors on water fountains to shut down during periods of high winds.
Installed 200 shut off valves on individual heat pumps, reducing load when cooling is not necessary.
7000 Island Boulevard
Installed light sensors in trash rooms.
Installed 42 watt CFL in garage and landscaping replacing metal halide.
Recycling bins for paper, plastic,cans and glass in all trash rooms.
Installed EMS:frequency drives,A/C regulating valves,digital thermostats.
Environmentally friendly cleaning products and paper goods
Rain sensors for irrigation.
Newsletters sent to residents for environmental awareness.
Properly dispose of batteries
Keep all electronics out of the garbage as long as possible.
Properly dispose of light bulbs with Waste Management Lamp Tracker disposal system.
Admirals Port Condominium
Installed new water towers in East Building saving$26,000 in water bills.
Changing from flowers to landscaping reducing water costs.
Improved beautification efforts.
Aventura Corporate Center
Repaired eroding shore line with pavers and retaining wall.
Replaced roofs in 2 buildings,qualifying for FPL energy savings incentive.
Changed elevators lights from halogen to LED.
Aventura Lakes
Maintaining the preserve on the east side of property adds beauty and is a natural habitat for wildlife.
Residents participate in recycling.
In the process of installing solar power lighting near the north entrance.
Committed to education programs to improve the natural environment of the community.
Biscava Ill
Using drought tolerant landscaping.
Using mulch to retain water.
Installed recycling on every floor trash room.
Replaced lamp post fixtures to 85 watt CFL bulbs.
Replaced walkway lights to 13 watt CFL fixtures.
