MINUTES
ARTS AND CULTURAL CENTER
ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
October 7, 2009 - 10:30 a.m.

I. Call to Order/Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Gloria Muroff.

As a quorum was determined to be present, the meeting commenced.
II. Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the September 9, 2009 meeting minutes, with
the correction of the spelling of Charlie Cinnamon, was offered by Ms. Bloom, seconded by Dr.
Oaklander and unanimously passed.
III. PACA Reports. Shelley Bradshaw introduced Jill Kratish, Programming Manager for
Broward Center for the Performing Arts who discussed possible shows and acts that could be
introduced for the fall season 2010. Ms. Bradshaw reviewed interior of facility and seating chart.
City Manager Eric Soroka and Ms. Bradshaw reviewed their meeting with representatives of
Fairmont Turnberry Resort to discuss partnership opportunities.
IV. City Manaaer Reports: Mr. Soroka reviewed the Program Events Support Funding Policy
adopted by the City Commission, which includes the commemorative brick program, the
founders honor roll and the annual membership program. He then reviewed the proposed
parking fees as $2.50 added to each ticket and a $10 valet parking charge. A motion to
approve the parking fees schedule as recommended was offered by Ms. Bloom, seconded by
Ms. Brodsky and unanimously passed. Additional discussions included the roll out of the
updated website in December, the topping off event, meetings with marketing consultants and
the City Guide marketing advertisement.
V. Other Business: Next Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2009 at
10:30 a.m.
