I. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Julie Israel at 3
p.m.

II. Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes of the September 11, 2008
meeting was offered by Mr. Evans, seconded by Ms. Cohen and unanimously passed.
A motion to excuse the absences of Messrs. Pyott, Taks and Yavner was offered by
Ms. Cohen, seconded by Mr. Evans and unanimously passed.
III. Chairperson's Report: None.
IV. Staff Reports: Review of Board's Duties: City Manager Eric M. Soroka reviewed
the amendments recently enacted to the scope of the Board. Update on Shuttle Bus
Service - Joel Volinski, Director of the Center for Urban Transportation Research at
USF, addressed the Board to discuss the current shuttle bus service and the assistance
CUTR would be providing to the City in the near future, including preparation of new bid
specs, passengers survey and ride check.
V. Old Business: None.
VI. New Business: None.
The next meeting was scheduled for January 21, 2009 at 3 p.m.
VII. Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Board, after
motion made, seconded and unanimously passed, the meeting was adjourned.

The "Go Green Recognition Award for 2009" can be awarded to more than
one property in each category. The decision of the judges are final and are
based on the applicant's information.
Please fill out this form in its entirety. Incomplete entries will be returned to the applicant
without consideration. All entries must be oostmarked bv 5:00 O.m. on Februarv 27. 2009 to
be eliQible. All entries shall be addressed to: "GO GREEN" Recognition Program, Aventura
Government Center, 19200 West Country Club Drive, Aventura, FL 33180; and must be
accompanied by a narrative (100 words max.) explaining the details of the applicant's efforts,
including photos if desired, and signed by the applicant. Awards will be presented on Friday,
April 24, 2009 at the City's Arbor Day Ceremony, and winners will also be recognized in the
City Newsletter, cable TV station, and website.
Applicant agrees to permit judging panels to enter their property for appraisal purposes and
